New Awards

Happy New year everyone! This is Eve Angelo, your Vice President of Parliamentary Procedure here to update you all on our state awards and introduce you to some new ones! We will be kicking off the new with 2 brand new awards. The first award is the Karen W Thomas Community Spirit Award. Karen Thomas was a Family, Consumer Science Educator who spent more than 30 years dedicating her time and energy to FCCLA. We are honoring her with a new award named in her honor to recognize the chapter in New York State that put together the best program of work focusing on service to your community. The second award is the Cindy Parker NYS Chapter of the Year. Cindy was a long time advisor and trainer for New York state FCCLA. This new award will be recognizing chapters who have a complete program of work. These new Awards will be announced and recognized at the state conference with all of the other awards from the following years.
