Mastering Membership
2007 Since 2003, NYS FCCLA has been decreasing in membership. This
has caused many disadvantages for our state organization. In the past
few years, NYS FCCLA has faced a decrease in funding, chapter and member
participation at the state level, and even the loss of a voting
delegate! It's up to you, the members, to change this! By participating
in this campaign, you and your chapter will have the chance to receive
statewide recognition and even prizes! Click
HERE for info!
RECRUIT: It’s easy, refer to the
Be Part of It!
membership
kit, the
membership section of the FCCLA website, and use your own creative
skills to think of ways to recruit more members to join FCCLA! Don’t forget that you can
recruit ANYONE who has taken a Family and Consumer Sciences course!
RETAIN:
One of your main membership goals should be to retain your members from year to
year. Plan exciting school and community activities that will keep all of
your members involved! Sponsor a chapter membership drive and challenge each of your FCCLA members to recruit at least
one new member.
RECOGNIZE: Don't forget to apply for recognition through the
Mastering Membership 2007 (NYS FCCLA) and
Be Part of It! (National FCCLA) programs.
