2010 - Elizabeth Kuhl
Liz Khul has been chosen as the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for her hard work and dedication to FHA/FCCLA throughout her life. Over her 33 years of advising, Liz has supervised numerous district and state officers, serviced as district advisor, been advisor-to-advisor trainer, as well as the district rep advisor trainer as Summer Leadership. No job is ever too much for Liz, when it comes to FCCLA.
Liz's distinguished service reaches deep into her community at Beaver River Central. Liz is well known for her commitment to community service activities through her FCCLA chapter. Collecting can goods for the local food pantry, raising money for local fire and accident victims, fund-raising for Relay for Life and Feed the Children programs, are just a few of the ways she helps FCCLA support her community. With Liz's guidance, many of her students have competed very successfully in STAR Events competitions over the years. Liz fully deserves the Distinguished Service Award for 2010.
2009 - Janet Driscoll
Janet Driscoll has given over 25 years of distinguished service to NYS FCCLA. Mrs. Driscoll's leadership, organization, enthusiasm and commitment have provided the solid foundation for two very successful chapters. She not only serves as a District Advisor, but has been an advisor to six State officers and one National officer Candidate. Janet have traveled to numerous district, state, cluster and national conferences with her students. She has presented advisor workshops at state and cluster meetings.
Janet has earned many accolades because of her service to NYS FCCLA. Some of these awards include Master Advisor, Advisor Mentor, NYS Alumni Achievement Award, NYSAFCSA FCCLA Advisor of the Year Award. She was inducted into the NYS FCCLA Hall of Fame in 2005.
Janet is always ready and willing to help out anyway she can. It might be a small task or a major under taking, Jan is there with a smile to complete it. For these reasons, NYS FCCLA is proud to present Janet Driscoll with the the 2009 Distinguished Service Award.
