Mia Rende - First Vice President/Vice President of Community Service

Bio: Hello, my name is Mia Rende, and I am an NYS FCCLA officer for 2011-2012. I have been in FCCLA since I was a freshman in High School; I have also participated in two different STAR events. While I am not doing stuff for FCCLA I am in several other clubs. Some activities I am in are theater club, drama club, student senate, SADD, select choir, and I am a senior in Girl Scouts, and will be soon finishing my Gold award. I like to sing a lot not only in choir, voice ensemble, and Beatles choir, but just for fun with my friends as well and play guitar. Reading and photography are also hobbies that I do outside of FCCLA. FCCLA is the Ultimate Leadership Experience!



Emily Petruncola - Vice President of Finance/Vice President of National Programs

Bio:Hi, I知 Emily Petruncola and I知 a 2011-2012 New York State Officer; this is my second year in FCCLA. I am a junior at Marlboro High School and reside in District 3. I am highly involved in my school痴 FCCLA chapter. I am very community minded, I love to do community service and currently volunteer at Mid-Hudson Animal Aid in Beacon. Besides FCCLA, I am involved in many other extracurricular activities. I belong to Spanish Club, Theater Club, Prom Committee, Drama Club, and I am a senior in Girl Scouts. I enjoy dancing, and I have been taking lessons since I was two years old. I also love to sing, and am involved in chorus, Voice ensemble, Sweet-out-of-lines (Select Girl痴 Choir), and Beatles Choir. In the future I would like to go to NYU to study pre-med, and eventually become a doctor specializing in pediatric cancer. Being in FCCLA has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I am excited to see what new remarkable things my executive council can collectively achieve.



Tiffany Rolfe - Vice President of Communications/Public Relations

Bio: Hi! My name is Tiffany Rolfe. Who is attending Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School in district 10B. This would be my fifth year being involved in FCCLA. FCCLA has influenced me by, letting me step out from my comfort zone, become a better leader, present in front of other people, develop more skills, and meet new friends. When I知 not involved in FCCLA I知 either involved in other clubs like, Drama Club, Theater Club, and sports such as Volleyball and Basketball. Once I graduate from CLVCS I知 planning on going to college, and assuming my dream of owning my own little doggie day care business. I知 ready for this upcoming year as an officer and to have great adventures with my new friends on my executive council.



Matthew Palka - Vice President of Parliamentary Procedures/Voting Delegate/Membership

Bio:Hey, I知 Matthew Palka, one of your 2010-2011 New York State FCCLA Officer Elects. I am a sixteen-year-old junior at the Union Endicott High School in District 8A and this is my fourth year in FCCLA. I joined FCCLA to meet and cooperate with new people, travel, and challenge and express myself, strengthen my leadership skills and be a part of this ultimate leadership experience. Along with my commitments in this leadership organization, I am currently hosting a kid痴 television show called Move It, visiting schools for Character Council, singing a cappella in Jazz Choir and Chorale, reading and discussing books in Philosophy Club and Book Club, and working as treasurer in Italian Club at my high school. My favorite subjects are English, Science, Music, and Math. I have an older brother at Broome Community College and my family has owned over eight different pets. My hobbies include fishing in freshwater lakes, reading, singing, taking pictures of the outdoors, recording and making DVDs, and writing. The opportunity to be a state officer for a second time will be an even more enriching experience than the first one. A few goals I would like my upcoming council to pursue it to balance responsibility, communicate effectively, work efficiently, and learn more about ourselves through this unforgettable experience.



Henry Sookram - President/Vice President of Alumni and Associates

Henry Sookram District: 8A
Advisor: Mrs. Sherman
Bio:Hi, my name is Henry Sookram and I will be a 2011-2012 New York State Officer. I am currently 16 and this is my 6th year in FCCLA. Aside from FCCLA, I am involved in other school activities such as Spanish Club, student senate, orchestra, band, jazz band, acting and science club. I am also the current class o 2012 President. Some sports I am involved in include soccer, cross country and track and field. On my free time I enjoy running, community service, spending time with friends, act and music. After High School I plan on double majoring in the fields of architecture and molecular biology. I am also considering culinary school as an option. FCCLA has made such a positive impact on my life. I cannot even imagine what high school would be like without it. My favorite aspects of FCCLA are meeting new people and making a positive impact on others. My goal for out council is to successfully grasp the minds of others and hopefully make an impact that will be heard by many, while not losing sight of our own moral values and what true leadership is about.
