District: 9
Advisor: Janet Driscoll
Interesting Fact: I am in ninth grade. In my spare time, I've mastered the tuba, bassoon, and flute, and I play JV tennis and Varsity bowling.
Hey! I'm Gabrielle Marriott and this year, I'm a 2010-2011 NYS Officer. I'm from Seneca Falls and I'm currently attending Mynderse Academy. This year, I turned fourteen, and I'm a freshman. This is my fourth year being a part of FCCLA and I have competed in three different STAR Events. I have also attended the 2009 National meeting, several state meetings, and one cluster meeting in Buffalo. In my free time I like to design new fashions, hang out with friends, and participate in many other school organizations. Fashion and cosmetology have always interested me, so I aspire to be a runway stylist. In my school, I play junior-varsity tennis and varsity bowling. I enjoy playing tennis because I have always been above average for my grade level. I recently have taken up bowling and have found it to be another very enjoyable sport. One thing that you can usually always find me doing, is listening to music. Some of my favorite artists are Chase Coy, The classic Crime, and Carter Hulsey. FCCLA has made me a more outgoing and caring person. I think that with all the support and training I have received, I have become a lot more sociable and informed.

Rebecca Keller - Officer at Large |
|
|
District: 9
Advisor: Janet Driscoll
Interesting Fact: I'm in 9th grade. I enjoy skiing every winter with my family. And I've successfully gone down black diamonds (some of the harder slopes), without a face-plant.
I'm Rebecca Keller and I am a NYS FCCLA officer elect. I am currently fourteen years old and a freshman at Mynderse Academy in District 9. I have been involved in FCCLA for four years now and have loved every minute of this ultimate leadership experience. When I started this organization, I was shy and giving presentations in front of even a few people, was nerve racking. FCCLA has provided me with the opportunities to grow as a person and a leader. Speeches are no problem now, and I feel I am much more outgoing. Besides FCCLA, I also love music and I am actively involved in band, jazz band, and chorus, and play piano, flute and oboe. I've always been known as a bit of a "nerd", which doesn't bother me, but you can often find me curled up with a book or doodling in a sketchpad. I am looking forward to this upcoming year. I can't wait to see everyone again next year, where we can share this ultimate leadership experience together.
